- Master’s Degree in an education-related field

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: | Responsibilities and Duties Common to all Region 10 ESC Employees:
- Ability to work on and enhance a team
- Utilize time wisely for effective management of position responsibilities and to ensure timelines are met
- Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings
- Maintain a positive, customer friendly, and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal)
- Participate as an effective team member who contributes to center-wide strategic planning goals
- Display proficient levels of technology applications and remain current in the area of digital integration
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by Region 10 Leadership
- Prepare and organize resources, train, and collaborate with Region 10 personnel
- Exhibit initiative in identifying problems and suggesting solutions in a positive manner
- Exhibit good judgment and decision making
- Keep supervisor informed of program and district needs
- Maintain up-to-date entries in Region 10 databases and accurate records for tracking and invoicing
- Adhere to Center procedures, guidelines, and policies
Specific Responsibilities and Duties for the Program Coordinator:
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices, andragogy, and current research
- Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and learning
- Lead the creation and implementation of quality professional learning opportunities
- Remain knowledgeable and effectively communicate current laws, guidelines, and research related to teaching and learning, curriculum and instruction
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of and ability to assist districts in serving students with diverse needs
- Ability to supervise and evaluate professional and support personnel
- Demonstrate effective coaching, mentoring, problem-solving, and conferencing skills
- Maintain appropriate documentation related to programs and personnel
- Supervise implementation of center-wide and service area policies including personnel records, travel requests, travel reimbursements, and leave requests as appropriate
- Work with employees and supervisors to resolve issues that can impact program success
- Work with the supervisors to create job descriptions, post job openings, interview candidates, hire and assign appropriate staff to implement Region 10 programs
- Identify problems and suggests solutions in a positive and proactive manner
- Exhibit good judgment in decision making
- Show discernment in determining appropriate action in a variety of situations
- Maintain effective relationships with districts, political entities, vendors, statewide partners and organizations
- Lead the implementation of statewide initiatives and/or directives
- Oversee the development and implementation of new instructional programs, services, and systems of support for districts and campuses
- Interpret data, policy, and procedures
- Supervise and collaborate with a wide variety of full-time and temporary personnel hired by Region 10 to present workshops/trainings
- Plan, facilitate, and/or coordinate institutes, conferences, and/or speakers
- Provide an organized program and networking opportunities for teachers and administrators
- Work in collaboration with statewide agencies.
- Lead and/ or facilitate cross-over team committee(s)
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by center leadership
