JOB DESCRIPTION: | Primary Purpose:
- Provide the coordination of administrative tasks, data entry and management, develop processes, and manage workflows for Instructional Strategic Priorities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: | Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preference given to professional secretarial training and postsecondary education
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Skilled in interpersonal communication
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Organized and experienced in the creation of spreadsheets/databases
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer literate and ability to use email, listservs, spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and web-based applications like Google Suite

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: | Responsibilities and Duties Common to all Region 10 ESC Employees:
- Ability to work on and enhance a team
- Utilize time wisely for effective management of position responsibilities and to ensure timelines are met
- Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings
- Maintain a positive, customer-friendly, and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal)
- Participate as an effective team member who contributes to center-wide strategic planning goals
- Display proficient levels of technology applications and remain current in the area of digital integration
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by Region 10 Leadership
- Prepare and organize resources, train, and collaborate with Region 10 personnel
- Exhibit initiative in identifying problems and suggesting solutions in a positive manner
- Exhibit good judgment and decision making
- Keep supervisor informed of program and district needs
- Maintain up-to-date entries in Region 10 databases and accurate records for tracking and invoicing
- Adhere to Center procedures, guidelines, and policies
Specific Responsibilities and Duties for the Administrative Assistant I
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service and contribute to a positive work climate
- Prepare purchase orders, support purchasing requests, and miscellaneous payment requests as requested by consultants and supervisor
- Observe procedures to support invoicing and payment processing from individual cooperative and non-cooperative workshop participants
- Prepare teacher stipend and teacher release forms
- Organize and maintain an efficient system for ordering supplies
- Seek opportunities to improve organizational systems and processes
- Check the accuracy of Time and Effort
- Monitor Calendar of Events, participant registrations, and process room reservations
- Demonstrate a high-degree of initiative and the ability to work independently
- Perform other duties and functions as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: |
- Preferred experience related to secretarial and/or data entry/management
- Computer expertise with various software applications
- Customer service experience
Accountability:
- The Administrative Assistant I shall be directly accountable to the Research and Strategic Priorities Analyst or his/her designee.
