JOB DESCRIPTION: | Primary Purpose:
- Conduct evaluations to determine need for Special Education Counseling as needed when requested by a school district/charter

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: | Education/Certifications:
- Current licensure or certification to provide counseling services such as LSSP, LPC, LMSW, or School Counselor with Special Education certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge and skills required to administer and interpret appropriate assessment and evaluation instruments
- Ability to identify programmatic needs/potential problems and make appropriate recommendations for IEP development

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: | Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer evaluations and prepare computer-generated reports of evaluations, proposed IEP/follow-up activities utilizing a format developed by Region 10
- Develop an itinerant schedule for completing evaluations within LEA timelines
- Participate in ARD process for specified students with disabilities upon request
- Participate in IEP development for specified students with disabilities upon request

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: |
- 3+ years working with students with disabilities
|
OTHER INFORMATION: | This is considered an Irregular Part-time position that does not meet the qualifications for benefits or leave. Work schedules are based on LEA needs. This will be for the 2022-2023 school year and only for a temporary basis. |
